This Man Andrew Foerster

Yes, this is what I look like, in case you were wondering.  Actually it's from junior year at Lakota East High School in West Chester, Ohio.  It's a nice little conservative town (though I'm not conservative) right outside of Cincinnati.  The picture was taken back in 1997 (which is over four years ago, right now), so cut me some slack.  I've changed a little bit since then--a little taller (6'1"), a little less thin (now I weigh about 158 lbs), a little more hair (I haven't cut it in over a year).  You can find more recent pictures of me elsewhere on this site.

Well, I guess "A Brief History of Andy's (I go by Andy, generally) Life" would consist of something like this:
In case you actually care...
I was born and raised in Minnesota for sixteen years, so I pretty much consider that my home, I guess.  I had an interesting (it used to say "tumultuous," but it wasn't too bad) childhood in which my parents divorced early on, et al. You can email me if you want the whole sob story.  I moved to Rochester, Minnesota after third grade, and I lived there for seven years, attending John Marshall High School.  While attending high school, I took college level math courses through the University of Minnesota in a program called the University of Minnesota Talented Youth Mathematics Program ... yeah, I was one of "those guys".  Then, after sophomore year, I moved to Ohio ... it was definitely a rough time, but I survived it decently, and it turned out to be a good thing for me, which is kind of hard to explain, but it's true.  And then I went on to college -- now I'm at
Washington University in St. Louis, among the best medical schools in the nation.  Too bad I'm not premed.  Not yet at least.  But they are the fourteenth best university in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report.  Actually, I'm in the school of engineering (please withhold all jokes), majoring in computer science (PLEASE withhold all jokes), working on majors in both psychology and finance (none of that dual degree crap for me).  Uh, don't ask me about the relationships I've had ... let's just say ... well, don't ask.  You can email me if you really, really want to become depressed regarding my relationships.

I've got a kid sister who is currently a freshman at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where I've taken summer classes.  It's a good place, certainly.  Currently, some of my favorite musicians are Enya (who's always a favorite of mine, in all sincerity), Sarah Harmer (sort of folksy and stuff), Ron Sexsmith, and others (there are always others).
