RESEARCH / PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Research Assistant: Washington University in Saint Louis, USA, 2004-present

  • Developed empirical expression for scaling up of particle size produced by electrosparying inorganic ionic solutions and was experimentally verified by using iron nitrate solution

  • Developed a method for the single step gas phase synthesis of silica coated magnetic iron oxide and tantalum oxide nanocomposite in a furnace reactor. As synthesized product was functionalized with a NIR dye for multifunctional bioimaging and drug delivery applications

  • Developed a hydrazine assisted low temperature spray pyrolysis process to synthesize nanosize metal oxides in environmentally benign way. Synthesis of solid and hollow sphere, and doughnut shape  gamma alumina, and maghemite nanoparticles have been demonstrated

  • SAP consultant: ABP Private Limited, Kolkata, India, 2002-2003

  • Worked on SAP R/3, ABAP/4, dialogue programming, SAP script, ALV as a technical team member, has experience in the in-house system administration.

  • Research Internship: Hindustan Lever Research Centre, Unilever India Limited, Bangalore, India, 2001

  • Performed project on "New Generation Hair Oil" based on Surfactant-Oil-Water system using micro emulsion technology to unveil the potentiality of developing a new hair oil by incorporation of water in commercial coconut hair oil

  • Technical Internship: Hazira Gas Processing Complex, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited, India, 2000

  • Worked on “Pre-heat Exchanger & its feasibility in LPG plant” to evaluate the feasibility of installing an additional heat recovery system during a distillation process
