What SIAM has to offer:
The SIAM Lounge!!
Come visit us in the basement of Cupples II (directly below where we were located before). It is a place for SSE's to hang out, do homework, find SSM reference books, use the computers, microwave, and fridge, buy VERY CHEAP food (sodas and chips - 50 cents, coffee - FREE)... And count how many times Dr. Mukai says "hello!" in an hour, and make friends!
You can obtain a key to the SIAM Lounge by doing the following:
1) Obtain a form from Theresa or Sandra in the ESE Office (Bryan 201)
2) Fill out the required information
3) Gather Dr. Mukai's and the SIAM President's signature
4) Bring the form back to the ESE Office to see Theresa, along with $5.00 Cash deposit for the key, and get the key from her!
NOTE: You will be refunded $5.00 when you return the key when you get out of school!
Events that SIAM organizes every semester:
> Student-Faculty Luncheon every semester (free food and voice your opinion to the program directors and the department chair about the department)
> occasional seminars, and
> whatever outings you would like to take part in (just talk to the SIAM cabinet )
FREE SIAM Student Membership form National Headquarters.
SIAM Members can get free membership to one SIAM Activity Group (SIAG), free subscription to the SIAM News and SIAM Review, and all kinds of discounts on SSM related books and electronic journals. If you are interested in joining, come talk to a cabinet member in the SIAM lounge, or contact Dr. Mukai (mukai@ese.wustl.edu).
