Information for Companies:

What is Evening with Industry?
Evening with Industry is a dinner and networking event, that grants companies a unique way to connect with the talented engineering students of Washington University.  It also provides students the opportunity to learn about the careers available to them in the Engineering field, and make valuable company contacts.  For more information, please view the presentation and read the invitation letter from EWI Chair Katie Poeltl.

Why should my company attend?
Not only does Evening with Industry provide companies direct interaction with students specifically interested in the job opportunities the company offers, it also grants students an introduction to the careers available to them once they exit academia.  The event benefits the Society of Women Engineers, supporting our mission of stimulating women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers.

6:00-7:00 p.m. Networking with students

Information for Students:

Bypass the lines of Career Fairs, and HAVE DINNER with the company of your dreams. This year's Evening with Industry will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2007 from 6:00-9:00pm. The evening includes time to meet and network with companies, a formal dinner, and after-dinner presentations highlighting the work of specific companies.

This event is great for students seeking both summer internships and full-time positions.  Every student will be able to establish company contacts as well as answer: where can I go with my degree? What am I really getting myself into? Event organizers strive to seat students with employers representing the student’s career interests. In addition, all employers who take part in the event will receive a resume CD of all students in attendance who submit their resume by the September 5th deadline.

Still unsure about careers out there? Come to learn about specific opportunities in your field of engineering. Connect with the people who are actually doing the hiring, and get ahead on your career search early in the school year.

Seating is limited. Priority seating and discount available to registered National SWE members. More Information can be found on the student invitation.

To attend this event please fill out the registration form and return it with your registration fee to the SWE pendaflex or the SWE Lounge in Lopata 408.
