Co-President

Kristi Tanouye is a senior biomedical engineering major with a focus in biomechanics.  She comes from a far southwest suburb of Chicago by the name of New Lenox, but has been spending most of her time (including summer) in toasty St. Louis.  She doesn't really know what "free time" is, but on the rare occasion she gets a moment, she loves scrapbooking and watching Grey's Anatomy.  Aside from SWE she is the President of BMES, manager of the Edison Theatre Box Office, and overly involved in numerous other things.

Co-President

Rebecca Griffin is a senior in Chemical Engineering with a minor in economics. She was born and raised in Anchorage, AK and misses having mountains and snow for snowboarding. She spent last summer interning for GE Energy in Houston and will be a Course Assistant for EN120 again this fall.

Vice-President

Lisa Skultety is a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering. Her "home on the range" is near Kansas City, Kansas, and she hangs out with Dorothy frequently. She enjoys such things as reading, staring off into space, and pesto pasta from Bear's Den. Aside from SWE (her favorite organization, of course), Lisa is also involved in Green Action and the WUSTL Bowling Club.

Wendy Jenkins  graduated with her  BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 and is now pursuing her MBA.  She hails from just north of Houston, TX, but enjoys spending her summers interning throughout the USA.  She can usually be found taking full advantage of the SWE Lounge—studying, sleeping, or eating.  She enjoys watching TV, listening to classic rock, and hanging out with friends.  Besides SWE, she is also an active member of Wash U’s Bowling Club, the Social Justice Center, and STONE Soup, and a CA for EN120.

Zaineb Ahmad is a second year Dual Degree in biomedical engineering (biomechanics) from “home sweet” Birmingham, Alabama. Aside from SWE, she is also involved with Muslim Students Association, STL Children’s Hospital, and WashU Call Center. She loves good books, musicals, and caffeine on the go.

Katherine Ku  is a junior biomedical engineering
major with a biotechnology concentration. She comes from Northern Virginia (near Washington DC), not to be confused with the rest of Virginia. Since St. Louis is the first Midwest state she's ever visited, or lived, she enjoys exploring all the places and yummy restaurants St. Louis has to offer. You may find her rollarblading on campus towards Forest Park, or sipping on a tall caramel latte with whipped cream while attempting to study in Whispers.

Guangji Xu (Beverly), a first-year masters candidate majoring in Electrical Engineering. She comes from Beijing, China originally. Her favorite place on campus is the lowest level of Olin Library, where she can enjoy a quiet time reading and thinking. Although she came to St. Louis, or the United States, just five months ago, she succeeded in making herself comfortable here by playing basketball and tennis with friends on weekends and cooking for herself very delicious Chinese food. She loves to travel. Here she is, having fun at a candy store in Universal city walk, in Los Angeles.
